Getting ready for christmas!

Isn't this the sweetest?? WILD CHILD!!

Have I mentioned that I love this time of year?? I'm extra excited this year because this is Hudson's first christmas! I hope that Jeff and I can start christmas traditions and memories that will be carried on for many years to come! I also pray that we can instill in Hudson the TRUE meaning of christmas, the birth of Jesus! I understand that he is a child and presents will be very important to him, but I do want him to learn to give to others and not always expect to receive! So...Hudson filled 2 boxes of toys for needy children for christmas!

We had a very busy weekend, which is one of the things I love about this time of year!! On friday night, we went to Landon and Kelley's for a christmas party. We had such a great time, but scatter-brained me grabbed the wrong memory card for my camera, so again I have no pictures to share! We visited, ate lots of yummy food, and played dirty santa! On Saturday, Kelley, Amy, and I took Leah out for brunch to celebrate the upcoming arrival of sweet little Lacey Ruth! We ate at MiMi's cafe and it was delicious! Leah is such a special friend and we wanted her to feel extra special! We got her the stroller that she had registered for and I think that she was excited! I am glad that she has her stroller so I can soon get my walking buddy back!! Ha!

And on Sunday....we finally got our christmas tree and decorations up! It was quite interesting trying to do it with a busy little boy all over the place, but we did it!!

He was such a big helper!!

Also, I would like to ask for prayers, my grandfather found out today that he has lung cancer. The doctors believe that the tumor is operable, so he is going in for test later this week to make sure that his body is strong enough to withstand a major surgery. My heart just aches over this, and I am just asking God to heal and comfort him through this. Please keep him in your prayers during this time.

Thanksgiving

We had a great thanksgiving! I just love this time of year, getting to spend time with family and friends! This was Hudson's first Thanksgiving, so needless to say I think Jeff and I were more excited about it than he was! We went to Mom and Rogers the weekend before thanksgiving to celebrate with them! We got to see the whole gang, Jeri, Clint, Drew, Allie, Jeff, Marian, Clay, and Will! We didn't do thanksgiving with Granny, but her and Papa did come to see their favorite great grandson! It was so good to see all of them! We also got to meet my brother, Tyler's new girlfriend Kirsten! She is so sweet and we really enjoyed getting to meet her!
I am sad that I didn't really get any pictures when we were at my Mom's. I have been having camera issues, but Jeff and I bit the bullet and bought a new NICE camera. This is our christmas, birthday, anniversary present to each other! HA! So from here on out, there will be no excuse for no pictures of Hudson!

I think these are sweet pictures of Hudson and LuLu..sorry the pics are blury!

Granny and Papa with Hudson(this is the best pic we got!!)
For thanksgiving, we went to Jeff's parents house in Ohio! We had such a great time! Hudson decided to cut some teeth on our trip, so he wasn't in the best of spirits for part of our trip! We found out yesterday that we also have and ear infection(his first). He has been so puny, and Jeff and I are ready to have our little active Hudson back!

We celebrated thanksgiving night at Ron and Lora's(jeff's sister) house. We had such yummy food and had a great time just visiting and catching up. Hudson got to play with his cousins, Maya, Jarryd, and Addy. We miss them so much and wish we could see them more often! Hudson is so blessed to have such great 1st cousins! We always enjoy going to Ohio and getting to visit with our immediate and extended family! Its a busy trip and always seems to fly by, but we make lots of fun memories.

I'm again frustrated with myself in that I didn't get many good pictures while we were in Ohio! Like I said, I now have a new camera, so don't let me make anymore excuses!

Me and Addy Paige

As I write about our thanksgiving, it reminds me of all that I have to be thankful for! I am thankful for our WONDERFUL family, a PRECIOUS little boy, an AMAZING husband, SUPPORTIVE friends, LOVING church family, our health, jobs, and mostly thankful and blessed to have a FAITHFUL and FORGIVING savior! After looking at that list, and thinking about each individual person that has touched my life, I really realize how truly blessed I am!

My very special friend Leah, is about 2 weeks away from delivering little Lacey Ruth. We are so excited to be able to meet her! Leah is such a blessing to me and I thank God everyday for bringing her into my life. Please pray for a safe delivery for Leah and Lacey!

Grammy and Poppy's visit and Halloween

I am trying catch everyone up on everything that has been going on! We've had a busy couple of months and Hudson is keeping us constantly on the GO! By that I mean, we are chasing him all over the house! He is into everything and Jeff and I have decided that he doesn't need any toys, he needs a couple of cords and a cardboard box to keep him happy! Here's the BUSY little guy enjoying his trip to the park!
Grammy and Poppy came for a visit in October and we had a great time! We really enjoyed their visit and got to do some much needed visiting and catching up! Hudson is so blessed to have such great grandparents that love him so much! We are also blessed to have them as parents as well! We love you Grammy and Poppy!!

Hudson waiting on Grammy and Poppy to get here!

Grammy and Hudson(LOVE this pic!!)

Of course, we didn't get any with Poppy! We are going to their house for Thanksgiving, so we will have to get some then!!

Well this was Hudson's first Halloween! Jeff and I were definitely more excited than Hudson was! We decided about 2 months before Halloween that he was going to be a Monkey, and I have to say that he was probably the cutest monkey I've ever seen! We went to my friend Tracy's house to trick-or-treat. Tracy has 2 boys, Lucas and Hudson that is 1 month older than our Hudson. Tracy and I went to high school together and have reconnected and try to get together as often as our schedules will allow! We had a really good time and thoroughly enjoyed Hudson's first Halloween! Enjoy the pictures!

Didn't so much love the hat!!

He was thinking "Let me out before they put that thing on my head again!"

Trick-or-treating

Well that was part of our October! Hopefully now that I'm somewhat caught up, I can stay on track and do better blogging! Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!!

Our trip to Florida!!

Things have been quite crazy lately! Hudson had his first trip to Florida at the end of September! We went with some of our great friends(Landon, Kelley, Cam, Jessica, Paul, Amy and all the kids)!! Needless to say the adults were out numbered!! We had such a great time and made many great memories! We left for Florida on the 27th of septmember and drove halfway and stayed with Landon and Cam's precious grandmother in Alabama . She was so kind and opened her home to us! We left Monday morning for Florida!

We are in the car on our way to Florida and Hudson is EXCITED!

After getting to Florida, we pretty much either stayed on the beach or at the pool. Below are some pictures from our trip! Hudson absolutely loved the water! He just splashed and had a BIG time!

Well those are some of the pictures from our trip! We had such a fun time and it was a joy to see how much fun Hudson had on his first trip to Florida! We are planning on going back in April with Mom and Roger, hopefully if our schedules will allow!!

Since returning from Florida, Jeff and I made huge decisions about jobs. We decided after months of praying and discussing that it would be best for our family if I started part-time(3 days/week). Jeff also took a new job with a better schedule doing something that he really wants to do. We both feel totally at peace with our decisions and are so blessed to be able to do it! I am absolutely loving being home more with Hudson, I definitely feel that I am becoming a better mother and wife for it!

Well I have more posts to add that I will get up hopefully this week!

Hudson got new pajamas

Well I finally just went crazy and bought Hudson 4 new pairs of pajamas! He is growing so fast that he has already outgrown all the ones that he had, so last week I went on a misson to find the boy pajamas! He is getting to be such a big boy that I had to get him the 12 month pjs! So sad that he can't stay little forever! I ask him everyday if he is ever going to get to old for me to kiss his little chipmunk cheeks!!

I mean, HOW could you resist these cheeks!!!!

After much begging and pleading, Hudson finally agreed to let me take a picture of him in 2 pairs of his new pajamas, so here goes!! I actually think that he was pretty excited about the new pajamas because his toes are no longer cramped!

In his camo!!

Dinosaurs for a little boy are always irresistable!

Below is also a picture of Hudson's halloween costume that I ordered! We think that he will be the cutest monkey on the block!

We are leaving for Florida on Sunday and we are so excited that this will be Hudson's first trip to the beach. We hope that he loves the ocean, sand, etc. He is a very happy boy and I think he will have a big time. Make sure to stay tuned cause we will have lots of beach pictures to show!

Everybody have a great week and will post pictures when we get back!

Labor Day weekend!

Jeff, Hudson, Cooper and I went to Granddaddy and LuLu's house for labor day weekend! Jeff and I were both off on Labor Day, so we got to stay and extra day! We were very excited about our trip!

We planned this trip a couple of months ago because my 10 year class reunion was planned that Saturday night! Jeff and I had a good time at the reunion, even though only about 25 out of the 131 people I graduated with actually came! Oh well, maybe our 20 year reunion will have a better turnout! It was good to catch up with some of my high school friends that I don't get to see very often.

Well here are some pictures from our weekend and pictures of Hudson with his Granddaddy and LuLu! I was mad that I didn't get a picture with Papa John, but we will have to make up for it next time we see him!

Hudson also got a bath in Granddaddy and LuLu's sink! He just kicked and splashed and had a big time!
On Sunday night, we celebrated Roger's birthday and the whole family got together! We had a great time and Hudson got to meet some of his family for the first time! Here are just a couple of pictures from that night!!

Come Monday, Hudson was absolutely worn out!

And this smile is what melts my heart every day! So in love with this little man!!!!!

Happy 8 months Hudson!!!

Well I can't believe it but Hudson turned 8 months on Wednesday! Wow how fast he has grown! He is really getting a little personality and Jeff and I are enjoying our little gift from God!

Most recently he has started crawling, pulling up, and saying Ma Ma and Ba Ba. I want to think that he is aware that he is saying Ma Ma, but I think he is pretty clueless on this one!! Ha!The boy also has a very healthy appetite, he will eat ANYTHING! I guess he has some good teachers in his parents! Ha! I just noticed today that he has a tooth coming in! He hasn't been cranky and lets just hope and pray that it continues this way! Below are some recent pictures of Hudson and a video of him crawling. so that Grammy and Poppy can see him in action.

Rubba, Dub, Dub!!

Cracking himself up!! He's so FUNNY!

Wanting to stand up!

Here is one of the better videos of him actually crawling! Whenever I put the camera in his face he gets a little stage fright, so you can actually see him crawl in this one. Please ignore my stupid sounding voice in the clip! Also, you will notice that at the end of the video clip, he falls over and barely bumps his head. You better believe that it was a very dramatic event in his little life! I didn't know if he was ever going to stop screaming!! I don't know why he's so dramatic, wonder where he gets that from??? Ha!

Jeff and I are going through a lot of changes right now with our jobs and as we search for a new nanny for Hudson! Please pray for us as we undergo these changes and pray that God guides us as we make decisions that will affect our family. We know that God is faithful and that he is right by our side during difficult times! "I can do everything through him who gives me strength" Phillipians 4:13

Our little KING of the JUNGLE!!

Love to all!!
