Getting ready for christmas!

Isn't this the sweetest?? WILD CHILD!!

Have I mentioned that I love this time of year?? I'm extra excited this year because this is Hudson's first christmas! I hope that Jeff and I can start christmas traditions and memories that will be carried on for many years to come! I also pray that we can instill in Hudson the TRUE meaning of christmas, the birth of Jesus! I understand that he is a child and presents will be very important to him, but I do want him to learn to give to others and not always expect to receive! So...Hudson filled 2 boxes of toys for needy children for christmas!

We had a very busy weekend, which is one of the things I love about this time of year!! On friday night, we went to Landon and Kelley's for a christmas party. We had such a great time, but scatter-brained me grabbed the wrong memory card for my camera, so again I have no pictures to share! We visited, ate lots of yummy food, and played dirty santa! On Saturday, Kelley, Amy, and I took Leah out for brunch to celebrate the upcoming arrival of sweet little Lacey Ruth! We ate at MiMi's cafe and it was delicious! Leah is such a special friend and we wanted her to feel extra special! We got her the stroller that she had registered for and I think that she was excited! I am glad that she has her stroller so I can soon get my walking buddy back!! Ha!

And on Sunday....we finally got our christmas tree and decorations up! It was quite interesting trying to do it with a busy little boy all over the place, but we did it!!

He was such a big helper!!

Also, I would like to ask for prayers, my grandfather found out today that he has lung cancer. The doctors believe that the tumor is operable, so he is going in for test later this week to make sure that his body is strong enough to withstand a major surgery. My heart just aches over this, and I am just asking God to heal and comfort him through this. Please keep him in your prayers during this time.

Thanksgiving

We had a great thanksgiving! I just love this time of year, getting to spend time with family and friends! This was Hudson's first Thanksgiving, so needless to say I think Jeff and I were more excited about it than he was! We went to Mom and Rogers the weekend before thanksgiving to celebrate with them! We got to see the whole gang, Jeri, Clint, Drew, Allie, Jeff, Marian, Clay, and Will! We didn't do thanksgiving with Granny, but her and Papa did come to see their favorite great grandson! It was so good to see all of them! We also got to meet my brother, Tyler's new girlfriend Kirsten! She is so sweet and we really enjoyed getting to meet her!
I am sad that I didn't really get any pictures when we were at my Mom's. I have been having camera issues, but Jeff and I bit the bullet and bought a new NICE camera. This is our christmas, birthday, anniversary present to each other! HA! So from here on out, there will be no excuse for no pictures of Hudson!

I think these are sweet pictures of Hudson and LuLu..sorry the pics are blury!

Granny and Papa with Hudson(this is the best pic we got!!)
For thanksgiving, we went to Jeff's parents house in Ohio! We had such a great time! Hudson decided to cut some teeth on our trip, so he wasn't in the best of spirits for part of our trip! We found out yesterday that we also have and ear infection(his first). He has been so puny, and Jeff and I are ready to have our little active Hudson back!

We celebrated thanksgiving night at Ron and Lora's(jeff's sister) house. We had such yummy food and had a great time just visiting and catching up. Hudson got to play with his cousins, Maya, Jarryd, and Addy. We miss them so much and wish we could see them more often! Hudson is so blessed to have such great 1st cousins! We always enjoy going to Ohio and getting to visit with our immediate and extended family! Its a busy trip and always seems to fly by, but we make lots of fun memories.

I'm again frustrated with myself in that I didn't get many good pictures while we were in Ohio! Like I said, I now have a new camera, so don't let me make anymore excuses!

As I write about our thanksgiving, it reminds me of all that I have to be thankful for! I am thankful for our WONDERFUL family, a PRECIOUS little boy, an AMAZING husband, SUPPORTIVE friends, LOVING church family, our health, jobs, and mostly thankful and blessed to have a FAITHFUL and FORGIVING savior! After looking at that list, and thinking about each individual person that has touched my life, I really realize how truly blessed I am!

My very special friend Leah, is about 2 weeks away from delivering little Lacey Ruth. We are so excited to be able to meet her! Leah is such a blessing to me and I thank God everyday for bringing her into my life. Please pray for a safe delivery for Leah and Lacey!
